About my Free Virtual Learning System (VLS).  Please provide feedback via

Virtual Skill testing + Virtual Laboratory Experience + Links to Top Theory Sites = Best Free Online VLS.

This course is a Virtual Laboratory tutorial in electronics.  Over the last decade,  I have produced a set of free online circuit simulations and animations that constitute a interactive virtual laboratory for students studying electronics or preparing for an IT career .  My virtual interactive circuit troubleshooting exercises cover only a small sample of circuits covered in must texts or college courses. This selection of circuits ranges from simple resistive circuits thru advanced operational amplifiers, digital circuits and computers .   I believe that those who  master troubleshooting my narrow range of virtual circuits or systems will develop the skills necessary to troubleshoot a wide range of circuits and systems that they will be confronted with now and in the future.  I feel quite certain that someone who could not perform the majority of my virtual troubleshooting exercises would be in need of further training in order to become a competent electronics troubleshooter.  This person could benefit from my free virtual laboratory course.

I provide a reading list for each topic that a student can use to learn the relevant subject matter.  This site and my virtual electronics kits test your electronics skill.  My digital simulations create screens of data in binary format that show the status of my virtual computer and many digital circuits.

How to use this Electronics and IT Tutorial

Many sites produced by college professors etc. are ranked much higher than mine.  I believe that I provide the best virtual circuits laboratory on the Internet.  Each of my lessons contain links to the best free online electronics tutorials on the Internet.  You can use these links to learn as much theory as you wish. Than you can test your troubleshooting ability on this performance oriented site.  Students  who have not taken physics in high school should consider studying electricity and magnetism at the online Khan Academy as prerequisite to studying electronics. The links to other sites plus the Interactive tests of your abilities constitute a complete virtual electronics course in electronics.

I have added IT (Internet, Information, and computer) training to this site and my Reading List Web.  I cannot model a virtual internet, but I do not have to.  We are connected to the Internet obviously.  Thus, I simply teach you how to explore IT technology in a orderly manner.  This not a training tutorial for software engineers but is aimed at technicians who wish to expand their skill set to include Information technology.

To get quick overview of my course go Radio Slide Show  and download Audio Version of Electronic Concepts and sit back and listen to a 40 minute lecture covering the analog portion of my Webs.

My virtual circuits can also be used as an interactive test of your electronic skills.  They say that life is not a multiple choice test.  Fault isolation in the real world is a multiple choice problem.  A technician or Field engineer must determine if a system is OK or not OK, and then determine which component is faulty.  The system is either OK or not OK.  The electronic parts list or schematic of a system provides a multiple of possible answers.

My free text for this course is Electronic Concepts.  Download PDF file ( see left column ) and print book.  Having the printed book will enable you to read , listen to MP3 lectures and view circuit animations concurrently.  My second book Force Fields Visualized is required reading for all those who do not have a good physics grounding in electricity and magnetism.  Download and print both books.  They are free hybrid books.  They enable you to read about a topic and view an online simulation or animation concurrently.
